Making Arklow is an opportunity to reimagine the potential of the town centre and its interconnecting rivers, sea and surrounding landscape.
The initial six month long series of engagements looks to take stock of Arklow now and learn from its social, cultural and physical and lived history. To build on these to create a new narrative for the town reimaging a future embedded in its richness.
To, through discussions and activities on craft, architecture, heritage, culture, and ecology/ climate action, seek to develop a future narrative.
Engagement format:
Each talkingshop event will follow a common format generally consisting of a mapping exercise on our wall map of the Town Centre and a SWOT analysis wall pin-up, these both allow everyone to engage at their own pace and share written ideas to support the open discussions. The use of a common format will ultimately contribute to a consistent analysis of each topic.
